1. What this site is

Ikarus Systems ("Ikarus," "we," "us") operates a wildfire early-detection sensor network and this website, including a public live map, field reports, a citizen fire-reporting form, and a customer portal for landowners with an installed unit. This is currently a pilot-stage project centered on the Kuçovë area of Albania.

2. Using the public map and reports

Sensor readings and the computed fire-risk index shown on the live map are provided for situational awareness. They are not a guarantee of fire presence or absence, and should not be the sole basis for evacuation or emergency decisions. In an active emergency, always contact official emergency services (112 in Albania) first.

3. "Report a Fire" submissions

• Submissions (location, description, optional photo, optional name/contact) are reviewed by our team on a best-effort basis — this form is not monitored in real time and is not a substitute for calling emergency services.
• We may use submitted reports to improve detection coverage and to cross-check sensor and satellite data.
• Providing your name or contact information is optional and used only if we need to follow up on your specific report.

4. Accounts & the admin/portal areas

The admin panel and customer portal shown on this site are currently demo/prototype interfaces for our own pilot use and for demonstrating the product. Production account security (proper authentication, access control) is planned but not yet fully implemented — do not treat these areas as production-secure at this stage.

5. Data we collect

• Sensor data: temperature, humidity, wind, smoke, and soil-moisture readings, and derived risk scores, tied to a sensor's fixed installation location — not personal data.
• Fire report submissions: the location/description you provide, an optional photo, and optional name/contact if you choose to give it.
• Uploaded photos: stored on our server and linked to the report or field-report post they were attached to.
• Contact form submissions: whatever you enter when reaching out via the Partner With Us page.

6. What we don't do

We do not sell location or usage data to third parties, and we do not use fire-report submissions for any purpose beyond wildfire detection, response, and improving this service.

7. Data retention & deletion

Field reports, fire-report submissions, and their photos are kept until manually removed by our team. If you submitted a report and want it removed, contact us via the Partner With Us page with enough detail to identify it.

8. Changes to these terms

As this is an active pilot project, these terms may change as the product develops. Material changes will update the "Last updated" date above.
